    • Kshirochora Gopinath temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna, but the unique aspect is that the deity worshiped here is known as Kshirochora Gopinath. According to local legend, Lord Krishna is said to have stolen "Kshira" (a sweet condensed milk) to fulfill the wishes of a devotee. The name "Kshirochora" literally translates to "the one who stole milk," symbolizing Krishna’s love for his devotees and his playful nature.
  2. History of Lord Gopinath Statue/Vigraha/Pratima:

    It is said that Lord Shree Rama carved Gopinatha Vigraha with his arrow and Mother Sita worshiped this deity in Chitrakuta during vanavasa (period of exile 14 years) to show the next manifestataion (avatara) Vigraha to Sita. King Langula Narasingha Deva, the king of Utkala (Odisha) brought this deity to Remuna in the 13th century from Chitrakuta.

    The architecture of the Kshirochora Gopinath Temple is typical of Odia temple architecture. The temple has a beautiful (Garbhagriha) where the idol of Lord Gopinath is placed, along with a (hall for worship). The structure is decorated with intricate carvings and sculptures that showcase the artistic skills of ancient craftsmen.
